Congrats, MJ! The original PeterMJ shipper is so happy!
"He's pure power and doesn't even know it. He's the best of us."-Matt Murdock
"I need a reason to take the mask off."-Peter Parker
"My heart half-breaks at how easy it is to lie to him. It breaks all the way when he believes me without question." Felicia Hardy
The secret to a long and healthy marriage is making sure your in-laws are happy as well:
Hmm, what issue were these from, if I may ask?
And yeah, I think May would be severely disappointed in Peter if she knew about the literal Faustian pact that he (and MJ) made to save her life, as it was (arguably) born more out of a desire to avoid facing responsibility for the more devastating costs of his actions in Civil War, i.e. publicly unmasking even knowing it would put his loved ones in danger, especially after he broke with Iron Man over Iron Man's increasingly morally dubious, if not flat-out immoral, tactics to beat the anti-registration side led by Captain America.
The spider is always on the hunt.
That's also more or less what happened in Sensational Spider-Man right before OMD, Spidey called Madame Web's help to be able to communicate with aunt May, and when they managed to do so, she basically said she's at peace now, and to let her die:
(Sensational Spider-Man#39 vol 2)
OMD is already bad enough on it's own, but reading issues right before it, specially the Sensational ones (#39, #40, and the annual), makes OMD look even worse, it's hilarious really lol.
Aunt May is looking overbearing here and kinda forcing MJ to do what she wants, surprised MJ backed down so easily lol.
