I question how we would go from one "Peter out of commission" story to another, only this time it's MJ filling in, unless the next big thing is somehow Peter's powers get transferred to MJ. Although wouldn't that mean we're getting a new Spider-Woman? Because she pretty obviously can't be Spider-Man, but Jessica Drew is still a thing. I wonder how serious those teases were.

In the future MJ and Storm take up the mantles of Spider-man and Black Panther "The Brave honor the sacrifices of those in their hearts" If they kill/coma Peter off again I swear to god I'm done w/ comics And MJ being a civilian is what makes her so good, she doesn't need superpowers. I'm glad she has focus though, really hope it isn't an actual death sacrifice and that it's more of a metaphor

If they're actually going for this "MJ with Spider-Powers" nonsense, she might go for Spinnerette, or maybe she makes Jessica retire/be killed off, but I doubt either is happening, or that MJ is getting powers, but maybe the last one is denial speaking lol
