Well, Gwen's KiB tie-in is advertised as EmJay having a Carnage-like suit, and Ultimate cartoon MJ did get the Carnage suit... And the tie-in ends with EmJay still having Knull within her:

(King in Black: Gwenom vs Carnage#3).

So yeah, there's a small possibility that spoilers:
the redhead there is really EmJay and she has super-powers for some reason, it would be really bullshit if so, and I doubt Marvel even knows who EmJay is at this point, but hey, I like to consider such possibilities, even if I'll end up annoyed if I'm right lol

    spoilers:
It would make no sense for EmJay to wear Peter's suit since she literally doesn't know him or know anything about him. I guess they could awkwardly retcon that she met him after KiB, but that's so sloppy.

Assuming for artist inconsistency, but isn't EmJay's hair shorter than 616 MJ's? I feel like it is.

I had a thought as to what the tease could be.

    spoilers:
MJ and Felicia are dressed up as Spider-Man and Black Panther as part of Jed MacKay's upcoming Mary Jane & Black Cat team-up story. MacKay wrote Timeless so there is some logic to him teasing his upcoming comic.

Seems producers at one point wanted to turn MCU MJ into a superhero. I actually get the thinking behind this. Zendaya's a big star. Why wouldn't they want her to play a superhero?

That actually makes a lot of sense. Although Felicia in a Black Panther costume feels kind of problematic yet hilarious .

Nobody gets the appeal of civilian characters. It's all about putting them in costumes/giving them powers.

Elitism at work once again. That is why very few heroes ( or heroines) outside of Peter and Miles have lives outside of fighting crime, aliens etc.

Or killing them for bad drama, even if it damages the supporting cast a lot in the long run lol.

But then again, considering civilian characters stopped bringing interesting stuff, I can see why their appeal is lost, but it's ridiculous to try to screw over Spidey with this, 'cause while his civilian life has been sidelined for years, it may be cool when they do get screen time.

This is a business. So decisions like these absolutely are made by that aspect. If you have a character with some notability, it's actually perfectly logical to think they should also be a super hero so they can also be merchandised.

Yeah, but I feel like that's missing the point creatively and just making everything so...skewed and homogenized.

This is definitely a cliffhanger I want to be resolved. It certainly remembered me the events from the "Ultimate Spider-Man" animated series. But there's one detail people keeps forgetting and I had to repeat it a lot of times:

Mary Jane's outfit as Spider-Woman in the animated series was actually based on the costume of her own daughter, May "MayDay" Parker, from MC2. You only have to change the red and black parts of Mary Jane's costume in USM, and you will see MC2's Spider-Woman. Look, this guy noticed too and proved it:

Now; about what we saw in "Timeless":

    spoilers:
I have to say, this was one Heck of unexpected surprise. And after reading all the theories around it, I really can't wait to see this.

Personally, I believe we can eliminate the probability of being Peter and MJ's kid, because as long as the Spider-Marriage is not restored, it's quite difficult for this to happen.

Now again, how could that be Mary Jane? Well, of all the theories mentioned, it seems no one remember one particular event that affected Mary Jane: Spider-Island. Remember, she was the very last New Yorker to gain Spider-Powers, mainly because her proximity to Peter's DNA granted her somekind of "inmunity". She was also the last one to be cured, and we can assume her powers were removed; but we should keep in mind that the cure didn't work on ALL the New Yorkers in the same way. I mean, even after Anya Corazon was injected with the cure, she kept her spider-powers. How about if something similar happened to Mary Jane and her powers just went "lethargic"? That would be an interesting twist!

I aggre with people saying that civilians like MJ don't need powers to prove they are amazing, but you should remember the reason why MC2's Spider-Girl had such sucess. Mayday Parker was literally the incarnation of the best of her parents: she had Peter's powers, brain and responsability; combined with Mary Jane's winner attitude, personality and beauty. That's definitely a winning combination! She was literally a Mary Jane with Spider-Man's powers. So, as far as I see, the idea of Mary Jane somehow fitting Spider-Man's role sounds intertesting to me.

Yeah, it makes sense, but it also sucks for the civilian side to lose such characters lol.

    spoilers:
Man, MJ being powered by Peter's jizz would be ridiculous, it's a fucking porn plot, silly enough it happened in Spider-Island, I'm not sure they would do that again with how much we have "girl power" nonsense nowadays, if Carol had her connections with the original Mar-vell toned down, MJ being powered by Peter's jizz is, not happening if Marvel doesn't want people bitching about it lol

    Mayday is not MJ
MJ works best as a civilian w/ no powers
