M/ Penance: Monet St. Croix Appreciation 2021

I love M having the penance form, it looks like her reclaiming her own trauma and turning it into something positive. I agree that it shouldn't be used every single time she fights though. I'd like to see her do more with her telepathy.

This is why I don't liker her reclaiming the Penance form. I think it'll allow cheap writers to just write her as a generic slasher (which they all love) and also allows them to ignore her blackness too.

Penance should be a separate character. Also, her family history better be addressed in this book.

Looks like she got those botched asian nose job. It's funny how a small detail like that practically can ruin the entire cover when the art is so good.

I do not think it is Angel---this guy looks like he is wearing a traditional suit/Tux. Angel had his more free-flowing robes with no shirt.

I feel the same way!!! Like I wish that Penance was Yvette but I got the retcon and was ok with as a shell that became sentient or penance could have been a mutant that Emplate put Monet into.. The claw slasher thing doesnt go with Monets power set and now the twins also have a Penance form and we know Emplate has a variation of that form so now I am like what is this.. If they had to merge Monet with this form I would rather it be razor sharp diamond hard skin sans claws and it connects to her psionic power where she channels them into her physical form to get the red skin to become stronger and even more durable.

And yes.. I want to see the M twins, and Emplate.. I wish Vita would use them along with Gabby, and the french twins, and Karma twin siblings. That would be a great b side story.

Okay Tini Howard! She can write a decent Monet read. And the art seems better than the 1st issue. I hope all the other X-Artists are using Dauterman's version as the template going forward.
