With some assistance from the Cloak of Levitation, the Wasp and Spider-Man, Bruce survives the attack, but he's shaken up. The Watcher then explains that when Hank Pym went into the Quantum Realm to find his wife, Janet van Dyne, she had contracted a virus that corrupted her brain. She passed the virus onto her husband before infecting the entire Pacific Northwest. The Avengers came to fight the forces of the undead, but they too succumbed to the virus.

Spider-Man takes Bruce to meet the rest of the survivors, including Bucky Barnes, Sharon Carter, Happy Hogan, Kurt and Okoye, and explains how to make it through the apocalypse. Shortly after, the group catches wind of another camp at Camp Lehigh that's made progress on a cure, so they head out to reach them. However, while at Grand Central Station, zombie Falcon and Hawkeye arrive and throw a wrench in the plan. Sadly, Happy is killed in the attack, but the rest of the group manages to escape on a train.


While onboard, Sharon is turned by zombie Captain America, who then sets his sights on Bucky. The Winter Soldier takes out his old friend using his own shield, but Hope is bit during the fight by a turned Sharon. Once the group arrives outside Camp Lehigh, they're met by a massive hoard of zombies, and without any way to get through them, Hope decides to enlarge and use her final moments to carry her friends to their destination.
