Just as well that Corsair came back from the dead, because he died at the abrupt end of a story that the writer (Ed Brubaker) never got around to finishing. I don't know if Brubaker planned to do more stuff with the Shi'Ar Empire and Vulcan or not, but those stories weren't finished until War of Kings by Abnett and Lanning, and Corsair's untimely death just felt like a shoddy and futile attempt to add more weight to an abruptly ended story.
