Slow but good issue. I kind of feel it was out of character for Pixie to do what she did even if there was peer pressure involved. But she's also been though a lot so what do I know.

Even money says the first X-Man to die once the Resurrection Protocols go away (because it eventually will) is going to be a New X-Man.
Unless they introduce a whole new class of young "upcomming" mutants of whom 90% lose the popularity contest and become free to be used as random victims. Or do we now count all new young mutants introduced after Generation X as "New X-men"?
Though that aside, yes the New X-men seem prime candidates for getting picked off once deaths become semi-serious for them again. I think one main reason is because there are so many of them, that writers just think a few aren't going to be missed.
Pixie is still the it girl with one magic spell to her name.
When's the last time Surge and Hellion made an appearance?
I love that her mutant power is literally described as 'she could manifest rainbow colored butterfly wings' and she's drawn with pink wasp wings...
I mean, sure, it's technically accurate, because she did have ranbow-colored butterfly wings and now doesn't for reasons of 'hard to draw,' but how hard is it to say something more currently accurate like 'she grew colorful insect wings.'
I really don't get why writers don't like using Hellion and Surge.
Possibly bc they find her redundant with Armor, whom tends to be one of the kids that gets used the most. Obviously they have different powers but functionally fulfill a similar role and I feel that over the years, their personalities have blended to be the same. Armor has the upper hand bc her power is visually distinct and allows writers to do things that they cant with other characters, whereas Surge for the most part becomes another blaster
They should amp the other aspects of Nori's powers.
A speedster with electric effects always looks cool. See Flash or Kirua Zoldyck.
And her ability to absorb electricity could be used to fight machines.
