That's the beauty of Marvel's Black characters. They are diverse as well so there's something for everyone. Always loved Black Panther. There were alot of other characters I liked but BP was my fave followed by Storm and Rhodey.

Then Monica, Synch, Bishop, Night Thrasher and Eli came along and their Black characters became even more diverse.

And yeah, fingers crossed for Eli in the MCU.

This article says that Eli won't likely appear in Falcon and Winter Soldier but Isaiah will likely be introduced/mentioned and that could set up Eli's appearance in the future.

They could do a D+ show just on the SSS program alone. Go back and show how Isaiah became the first to survive the initial tests. Then future episodes feature Josiah X and eventually get to Eli.

Looking back over the original YA, they seemed to make it easier for every else to be a hero except Eli.

He was also written like the "old man" of the group.

He has the same personality as Scott Summers, which works better for team books.

He’s dated/flirted with Kate.

In the future, it showed him as the only Young Avenger married to a new member, a female Falcon, who may or may not be Sam’s niece.

The big opportunity is in FaWS. We got John Walker who received a version of the SSS in the show. Very easy to go back and look at the history.

It's speculated that Carl Lumblys character may be Isaiah Bradley, so there's a decent chance Eli could show up as well
