X-Men Monday (1/4/2020)

Not a huge amount of big revelations or anything but some notes:

- The Hellfire Gala seems to be happening over the summer so we may not hear about the X-Men roster for awhile

- There will be a Solem story in Wolverine after the Gala

- Percy knows Beast has been acting like a **** and it's all according to plan. He has known where Beast's story is going since issue one

- Each X-Force character will be getting a spotlight including Forge, Kid Omega, and Sage

- Colossus has a big role to play across the line coming up

- Percy is not done writing Jean

- Man-Slaughter will be appearing in X-Force some time soon

All it really takes is for, like, 5 people to say "Solem is my fave" and BLAM -- he's some kind of break out character.

I had the same "huh?" reaction to people losing their minds over Rasputin during PoX.

Nice. Look forward to seeing the payoff with regards to the longer stories he’s telling involving Beast and Colossus. In the case of the former, I see a Col. Jessep moment in his future where he’s screaming “You can't handle the truth! We live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded.”

Loving Percy’s Wolverine and X-Force both right now. Especially enjoying the Team X flashbacks and seeing Maverick again. And if the rumors of OG Cable returning this summer are true, I sincerely hope Percy finds room for him on X-Force. That would certainly shake things up.

I loved X-Force for a while but suddenly lost interest in it and I think the art became very bad at times. Hope Percy will shine again with great writing in the next months.

As much as I love Wolverine, I think Percy’s favoritism towards the character works against him in a team book like X-Force.

I am obsessed with his Wolverine. I have never collected wolverine and have always liked him in a group setting but i have to say Josh can write one hell of a logan. His x-force would be good if it was Wolverine and the Xmen but it's just too small to feel like the cia given what we have seen from other books. The most CSI thing was developed in wolverine by sage not in the direct x-force book. Great interview, he sounds a bit like me, i been loving the isolation of quarantine but i do like group jams as well.

The Hellfire Gala not happening until the summer makes sense. That would probably be about a good six or seven issues for each of the books which sounds great considering that the storylines have been disrupted by 2 events so far.

Thr fact that Percy is just NOW talking about a spotlight issue for members of the team that have been around since the beginning is low key frustrating lol

Marauders panel? I must’ve missed that. I saw only Wolverine and X-Force panels by Kubert and Cassara respectively.

EDIT—Nevermind. Just realized that was in reference to the old panel from Wolverine which featured the Marauders team.

Eh I like Solemn. His personality is pretty fun, his design is cool, and his backstory is badass. Also there seems to be more to the Solemn character than just STABBY STABBY MURDER SEXUAL ASSAULT that I've come to expect from Wolverines rogue gallery.

I’m interested in his adamantium “skin.” Is it his actual skin, like Cyber’s, but instead of being an exoskeleton type construct it’s more of a mesh woven into his skin? Or is it a shirt he wears, like a thin chain mail armor almost, with adamantium woven into its fibers? Also, how did he even get adamantium on Arakko, thousands of years ago? Since I believe he’s that old, correct?
