The one thing I really miss about the love triangle era was the endless game of cat-and-mouse between these two. I still prefer them married, but this was always pretty fun.

Maybe he's adopted or a liar?

Normally I wouldn't care but isn't the reason Sam's such a sonufabitch to her and her sister growing up because he wanted a son?

So I was thinking about the story arc of Lois between All Star Superman and DC One Million.
All Star Superman leaves Lois without Superman right after they’ve really connected.
So what happens to Lois after that but before DC One Million? (which gives beautiful closure to Lois and Clark).
We see there’s a Lois and Clark baby gestating in a chamber. What kind of role, if any, does Lois play in her son’s life, if she even learns he is her son.

There is the radical possibility that this new brother is a trans Lucy. I don’t know why Bendis would go out of his way to erase a minor character who’s not doing anything problematic (she hasn’t been seen since 2014 afaik) but has a history going back to 1959 at least if you don’t count Susie Thompson’s mother who didn’t get named Lucille until years later).

I would not be surprised if he's a alt-earth Lucy or Lois actually.

That would preserve the way he raised Lois and Lucy and also explain why he'd keep him from Lois for so long.

Have we seen Lucy Lane post-Rebirth yet?

I take it she remembers being married to Ron Troupe and having a son name Sam? Does she remember having a daughter name Susie Thompkins with a man name George?

Does she remember being Superwoman or being in the military or being a flight attendant?
Is her history with Jimmy Olsen back?

Who the heck is this brother now? I’m so confused.

If everything counts now, Lucy should have two husbands and two kids. Right? That's why I hate that mandate, as it doesn't work for a lot of characters.
Lois has recently been referred to as Sam's only daughter, which is a whole other problem.

Wait, what!? What issue was that said?

Shouldn’t Lois be concerned her sister is “missing?”

The "everything counts" mandate makes sense when you remember it comes from the United States of "created equal, but some more equal than others" America. It all counts, but the stuff that's relevant to the story at hand counts more than others.

So it's exactly what came before but they're tired of people saying they don't know what's in continuity anymore, so instead they're operating under the catch-all of "it all counts now" so they're never technically wrong. It's just a cover for having very few new but overworked editors.
    May we never forget:
