he wouldn't look as good with the helmet that's all there is to it. Also, superhero movies like to give actors facetime.
In the MCU Mackie's first two costumes looked the best on himThe J-man

Anthony Mackie looks fine with goggles alone but doesn't have the hairline or chin to pull off the Captain America head sock from the comics.
