Yes, Gorr had a motivation and backstory. Malekith too. They weren't very original but they worked.

Knull is just an evil god who hates everything that exists. Just that.

Instead of actually bringing back Gorr and building him up they dropped him for this generic off brand version who's evil "just cuz".

As someone who loves the God Butcher and God Bomb arc I'm annoyed.

It feels odd to see the book tie into an event so soon (I guess it does make sense seeing as KiB is an alien invasion story), but regardless, I’m looking forward to reading it.
I’ve been enjoying Ewing’s guardians run and I also really liked his Mighty Avengers from a few years ago, so I look forward to seeing how this book stands.
I’ve also been reading and enjoying KiB, so it in a way, it’s great to see the X-men directly tie into the more recent marvel stuff.
