Heh well in Snyder’s JL he did find God: Perpetua. But Snyder’s voice for villains is sometimes off.


I liked his Lex though.

Venditti wrote a pretty good Zod. Leaned hard into the more sympathetic sides of him. Man the New 52 Zod redesign is one of a couple New 52 looks that really worked. Took what was great about the DCEU look and adapted it for the comics:


Took a while but Zod finally got a really cool look that seems to be sticking around.

Brainiac is a clearly a believer of Primus and Unicron.

That is a great look but I dunno if it suits how I view Zod. Zod should always have a cape though, it’s kind of shocking it took so long for them to give him one, at least the Dru-Zod version.

If I remember right, Titano had the mindset of a child.

I prefer it that he wasn't so much a villain as a easily scared child with Kryptonite-irradiated eyes that spontaneously fire beams when frightened.

Metallo. I want a human based opponent for the next Superman movie, no more alien invasions or Lex for a while.

Personally, I want to see either Metallo, Parasite or Bizarro as the opening villain of a rebooted Superman movie, then slowly build-up to big bads such as Lex Luthor, Brainiac, Ultra-Humanite or General Zod
