The biggest thing holding him back was his lousy costume. He actually has more “feats” than you’d expect from someone who was a “D-Lister” at best. It’s gratifying to see him blow up.

I really dug his mask in the movie. And yeah if Bane can coast off being the man who broke Batman's back for decades, being the man who put Superman in the ICU can definitely take him places if they want to. If there is a Man of Steel sequel, I'd rather see Idris Elba than Jesse Eisenburg.

Still amazing how badly the DCEU messed up with their two biggest villains. I’d love a Bloodsport HBO Max series that shows his life and ends with the fight between him and Supes.
