There are news reports that the Gambit movie maybe back on track. It’s going to use the same script, which Tatum’s Free Association Production Company partially owns. No word yet on the casting or who will play Gambit.
This movie has nine lives, it’s been off and on for years. Now it seems it maybe on again.

Yeah they are looking at someone younger and potentially a Disney+ show. But there’s rumors Channing may have a chance to play Gambit in a MCU multiverse movie

I think Tatum lost interest, since MCU Gambit will be a watered down version of the Gambit he originally wanted.
