And they have both been on screen in their character for years already(Ryan started with Wade all the way back in 2009!). Plus Star Lord and Deadpool can kinda be whatever age, but Remy, especially if he's supposed to be running with the Thieves Guild and flirting with/marrying Belladona pre-X-Men, should really be a teenager/young 20-something. Tatum starting off as Gambit now is just silly.

I really don’t understand why is this an issue with some people.
Has anyone seen X-Men Red #3 cover:
    https://shop.coliseumofcomics.com/co...variant-leg-mo
This cover picture looks older than Tatum.

Paul Rudd was 47 in the first Ant Man
RDJ was 43 in the first Iorn Man
Chadwick Boseman was 38 in Civil War and 40 in Black Panther.
As far as Reynolds, the Wolverine version doesn’t count anymore.
He now became Deadpool in the 2016 movie when he was 39
Chris Pratt was 35 in the first GOTG.
So, Tatum being 38 or 39 is no big deal.

    A) I don't see the problem with Tatum's age
    B) I goddamn hate that cover he looks like he's 85
Cyclops was SO DAMN RIGHT, BABY
Pull list: X-23, Mr. & Mrs. X, Extermination, Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider, Uncanny X-Men

Honestly, all of those characters you mentioned, I think, skew a bit too old(as far as casting), but for Gambit particularly, for the story at hand(the Thieves Guild and Bella Donna), it's even more of a problem. Gambit was a teenager when he married Bella Donna. All this Thieves Guild stuff happens quite a bit of time before he joins the X-Men, and even in current canon, I think he is only in his late 20's.

From a early leaked script, there was a flashback 25 years when Gambit was 8 years old.
Doing the math that put Gambit at 33 years of age.

I like Channing Tatum but he doesn't seem like a fit for Gambit I could be wrong and he could be amazing but I just can't see it.

Typical, Fox doesn't know how to read the comics.

If we're talking having 40 year old(ish) actors playing Gambit then I vote for this guy:
    Rodrigo Diaz.jpg

That's just my thought on the subject.

Dang! Some people age so well. Definitely has the perfect mug. Getting the acting, accent, and action is the rest of the trick. It's not a super easy role for sure if they're going for accuracy.

    You understand!

Seriously I’m going to do some research on this gent.

Also, Jessi (Jehilew on Tumblr) deserves the credit for finding this actor. I got the info from her. Jessi knows her stuff.

As a south american I can tell you that he is an awful actor, his entire career is based in his good looks and most of his roles were in mediocre tv soap operas.
No thanks, I rather keep Tatum and I don't even like him that much either.

LOL, jk... it was just a fantasy. Still praying for anyone but Tatum on my end.
