If anybody thinks Disney is not behind the Deadpool PG-13 version, I have some swampland in Florida for sale.

Well I think disney is behind it though the release of pg 13 for the china markets sounds logical.

DOFP will be rated R under Disney due to hugh jackman's nude scene, Xavier using what looks like heroin for much of the film and the Sentinels kliing people violently but somehow, this made the cut of a pg 13 fox film.

Under any studio that movie would still be pg13.

Any studio that is not Disney as I have not seen that in any Disney movie, instead, I have had to read countless stories of disney choosing not to put any of those things in their movies.

Who cares? The only reason you people are obsessed with rated r movies is to go around saying how mature you are. It's so silly. TDK is considered one of the greatest cbm of all time and that's pg13.

Wait, watching Rated R movies doesn't automatically make me a super-cool and serious adult?

    WTF man.

Why would Disney censor Wolverine's Butt when they were okay with Hulk's?

They're probably going to say its CGI so it doesn't count.

DOFP wouldnt have been made the way it was if it was under Disney. Period. All that you mentioned, plus Xaiver telling Wolverine to F-off wouldnt have made the script. I doubt anyone would have even tried.

Realistically speaking about fictional matters. | Nutcases need not respond. | Stay outta my DMs. | Why does the "House of Ideas" keep duplicating characters?! | If an idea or belief cannot stand up to criticism it's probably... bad.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if there was something in the movie rating code for cartoon butts vs CGI butts vs real butts.

Disney is probably not going to want to make an R-rated superhero movie. That cuts off a huge portion of their audience and, equally importantly, their merch sales. However, they can still do a lot within the scope of a PG-13 movie with clever editing and use of implication.

I'm still trying to decide whether R or PG-13 would be better for Gambit. R would allow the moviemaker to capture certain aspects of his story better, since he has been through some truly horrific and scarring experiences, and obviously has had his share of sexual encounters. But PG-13 would prevent them from being too gratuitous, which, um, Deadpool was at some points, but which worked fine for that character. Sometimes, limitations make for a better, more clever movie, because you can't just shove a cable up the Juggernaut's ass.

I’ll say it, comparing a real butt to a cgi butt is ridiculous. You’re also ignoring context of the two scenes.
The Hunk’s butt was after showering and meant to be comical, Wolverine’s butt was shown as he got of bed having sex and meant to be sexual. Most of Deadpool nudity is sexual related.
    Very different context.

Gambit is a rom-com, so I expect some nudity and sex scenes, the question will be, how far they are allowed to go.

Ok. But who cares really? Who cares if there's nudity and extreme violence and blood and gore and a few f-bombs. You can have all of that in a movie and it can still suck.

The nature of Deadpool is nudity, bloody violence and f-bombs, I don’t want to see a watered down version. As for Gambit I don’t think it really matters.

So you don't like Deadpool in comics? Because the nature of the films are that but not the character he's printed in a book marketed to kids he's completely censored in the comics and always has been.
