Also reading between the lines, I wouldn't be surprised if the holdup in negotiations (Tatum has yet to officially sign) is the fact that he is pushing for a solo film first while Fox wants him to be in Apocalypse first. I think Tatum knows you have to strike will the iron is hot and there is no guarantee (as we saw with Ryan Reynolds and Taylor Kitsch) that his star will be shining as bright as it is now if he sits back and waits for an Apocalypse appearance n 2016 and then a solo movie in 2017 or 2018. 3 or 4 years in Hollywood is an eternity and he is probably one or two box office bombs away from Fox changing their minds on him as Gambit.
