I think that the o5 originals can work as a 1st team that learned to control their powers and went out in the world and were members of other groups. They could be looked at as alumni with credentials.

The February 15, 2019 production date maybe correct.
Kingsman 3 is instead going in production this fall, Tatum will return as Agent Tequila.
If Gambit is scrap, there is talk Tatum’s Agent Tequila will be spent off as a cowboy type James Bond.
I have a correction. Kingsman 3 won’t start production until January, not this fall.
This leave room for a fall Gambit production.
Tatum is still sporting the Gambit haircut at the Smallfoot premier today.
However, when asked by Variety what’s next, he said, he don’t know might be acting, directing, producing etc..
So Gambit seems to be still up in the air.
Or he is bound not to talk about it until Fox make an official announcement.
Fall 2018 shooting for Gambit is not possible at this point.
I hope they will get a director and make that February date.
The movie couldn't possibly be through the whole production process before the merger. Even if they rushed and managed it, it's better to not have this movie than a bad quality version.
I like Gambit but seriously who wants a Gambit movie? Not me :v
To be fair, the MCU formula was solo firsts, Avengers later as a crossover. While I think it would be great to see a few X-Men solos first, then bring them together for a team effort, it probably is more likely to see some mutants sprinkled in other films before the team effort. Either way, I think Gambit's character will be better served in the MCU. Even if Tatum were to pull this together at the last minute under Fox, it's fairly unlikely he'd be carried over to the MCU.
Let the flames destroy all but that which is pure and true!
