A tweet from Daniel Richtman of CNBC says he heard Gambit and Dr Doom movies are dead.
He later tweeted that Silver Surfer, Kitty Pyrde and Multple Man are also dead, Dark Phoenix will be that last proper X-Men movie and New Mutant will be Fox’s last XCU movie
Apparently, this is what the Evil Mouse is planning. The XCU as we know it is dead.

Don’t be surprise if Deadpool 3 is also dead.

Yes, but this is the problem I’m have with this project. Everyone involved is saying nothing, if this report is true Fox should have announced it long ago.

So take it with a grain of salt.

This is not the first time this has happen.
All it takes is one unreputable source to start a rumour and it explodes on the internet.

Perhaps, but trolls with no honest intent to discuss things shouldn't be tolerated. This guy still thinks the Donners own the rights to make X-men movies despite the merger and despite pages of posts trying to explain this to him. At some point, harsh as it may be, a spade is a spade.

I sincerely hope he allows facts to help him formulate his opinions in the future however.

Donner Company has a contract with Fox to produces all live action X-Men since 1998, that means movies and tv series.
A merger don’t change a third-party contract. Disney still has to honor this obligations unless they buy her out.
Mergers don’t break employees contracts, union contracts, third-party contracts. It’s illegal, in a merger situation the law protects employees, unions and third-party companies that have a present contracts. Look it up.

Unless they buy her out, she will still be producing all live action X-Men under Disney.

Yes and no. A lot depends on exactly how the contract is structured, but we'd have to know the details of that contract to know for certain.

I'm sure the movie about making this movie would be more interesting than this movie. One of my kids grew up and went to college since this thing was first announced.
