I’m having doubts about my source, Tatum just tweeted something about a Magic Mike Broadway opening later this year.
So I think he would be too busy with that to film Gambit right now.

He's made lots with Magic Mike, can't blame him for that.

I think I'd like a limited TV series. I don't need a film, just a good Gambit story. Episodic TV can be good and do far more than a movie.

Don't do this. Tatum is the only one who still tries to make Gambit movie. He proved his passion to Gambit.

He’s had more luck getting magic mike project made (probably has more control than with the big studio projects) he could be trying much harder with the gambit project, but just not getting anywhere, so we don’t see anything.

MM is based on his real life experiences. Plus his MM franchise is making $$$$$ for him.
The franchise consist of:
Magic Mike
Magic Mike XXL
Magic Mike Live Las Vegas
Magic Mike Live London
and now
Magic Mike Broadway
Magic Mike the book.
He and his production company owns the intellectual property, so I would think this is his first priority.
He has basically stop acting to built this franchise.

Filming start Feb.15th in Los Angeles, all the indoor scenes will be filmed in Los Angeles
All the outdoor scenes will be filmed in New Orleans, starting early March beginning with the Mardi Gras

Never said they were. I still have the question as to what the point is of this movie especially when the Fox films are on the way out.

Fox is still a separate company from Disney right now. The merger isn’t complete and it can still fall apart(but I doubt it will).
We don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes, maybe Disney already told the Fox people they want this movie, which is actually legal for them to do.

Im also hearing Gambit, X23, Dr. Doom and Multple Man is still in the plans, but on hold until the merger is complete. Disney has no plans to recast or rewrite these four movies, but they want all of the production under Disney’s control. As far as New Mutants, I haven’t heard anything.
