True. But Legion was shown in the Mahmud Asrar teaser at the end of X of Swords, and a lot of things from that are quickly materialising around the books or will shortly (the Shadow King, Nimrod, the new X-Men team, Storm with the black cube from SWORD...) so I'm expecting David Haller to show up any day now, and Way of X seems the most likely place.

Really shows how ingrained the ‘pretender’ narrative is. And the way they are already treating death is interesting.

If only they would know that the names of the true devils are Bendis and Quesada (and all the other Elder gods who ruined their lifes). Though i guess even if they'd know some would still hold up the current narrative, since it's so easy to have a figure you can blame so much onto as living person and elevate your idol (Magneto) as the wronged one.

That should be a Deadpool joke. He tries and correct them by saying it should be "Don't be a Bendis" but that feels too meanspirited.

Of course, because it's a "take that" or dig against a real life person, but at the same time these two ARE to blame for turning a popular female super hero into a person who ruined the (allready problematic) lifes of millions of other fictional people including causing several deaths. To the point where X-men writers are now using her as in universe allegory for the anti-christ in their pseudo-religios worldview/presentation.

And not for any logical reasons or reasons that benefited the continuous story of said character, but just because the editor did not like mutants being too numerous in this fictional universe.

Also because the pop cultural demand for the character is unchanged and unaffected by a dumb storyline 15 years ago, there is now this highly confusing mess where the character is treated as the devil incarnate by one part of the Marvel universe (for something she had done in said dumb storyline), while in the rest of it the writers use her as the same great hero she had been for most of her fictional history.

So we have classic situation where it's okay for readers and in universe people to be mean spirited and hatefull towards an otherwise popular character, blaming her for something a writer has made them do by editorial demand and against fan wishes, but being mean spirited towards said writer and editor is not because they are real life people who have no hurt any other real people.

And it all makes sense because writers have to create problematic situations in their works of fiction to illustrate said points as allegory towards those events in real life.

Great now i have to imagine a book: "Narrative philosophy as presented by Deadpool. Featuring special guest: She Hulk esq.".

LOL Don't be such a Wanda. What a neat motto.

Marvel should start selling it on t-shirts.

Their optics of using that term like Karen for a Romani character is not surprising.

Most people forget Wanda's Romani, even in the MCU people probably assume she's vaguely eastern European.

It's because Marvel has always white-washed that. It's a continual problem with their depictions and understanding of Romani people.

Isn't it because in the MCU she IS just vaguely eastern european without any romani origins (from a fictional country too so not to offend anyone directly)?

She was meant to be a white woman portraying a Romani woman and how they were gonna indicate this was so was by having her and Pietro steal things. Which was cut, luckily. It's mostly because Marvel has no idea what Romani people are, and that most are darker skinned than beige and not the same people as Irish and Scottish travellers.

Is this why Kurt is now without a beard?

the optics of a woman removing kids powers and putting them in a vulnerable position for a terrorist atack, getting an european vacation and returning like nothing ever happened because captain america likes her are also somewhat dark.
