The only character that fits that ability is Rose Wilson since she has an enhanced mind similar to Deathstroke. The only difference is that she can catalog an infinite number of details and assemble those details into a highly accurate probability assessment. If this were to be the case then Red X would have to be Grant Wilson but his "three moves ahead" motif could easily be a genius level intellect and/or the ability to sense things around him. The only thing we know for certain is that he's one of the students which means he could easily be hiding in plain sight.

It's definitely possible. Danny was the phantasm when we last seen him so maybe his body's non-corporeal and he's been taking control of students. Could also explain why there's four red x's instead of three. I remember Sheridan saying in a past tweet "Four red x's is a lot or is it?"

Maybe there are multiple characters playing the role of Red X.

I think X having a conveniant powerset that lets him sneak around would make the most sense storywise and keep things difficult to interpret. I narrowed it down to shapeshifter/H dial user, power theft, possession, and mind control but possession or mind control seemed the most likely to me. As for suspects, I considered X being a clone, Danny, or Grant Wilson and it doesn’t quite make sense when you aknowledge the young Red X flashback.
