Lensman is a cool anime but after watching you will be just as familiar with the novels as you are now. Outside of the character names, the anime takes nothing at all from the novels. As an action flick it's good, as an adaptation it is so bad that the estate of E. E. Smith has refused permission for any other adaptations of his work ever since. Think of the most poorly adapted thing you have ever seen in your entire life, and understand it is probably much closer to the source material than this is.

Hell yeah! Animation still looks great. I'm seeing some nice little additions, with the biggest one being that Shinji gets a chance to use his bankai in the main story.

    Really looking forward to this.

WFM pretty much heated things up with the big finale.

Suletta doesn't have Aerial at the moment, but thankfully the Schwartzette (Which we have yet to see in action) is parked nearby. Everybody assumed it would be piloted by Guel or his brother due to belong their company, but it's an interesting twist if the Gundam everybody assumed would be the "evil" one is the hero unit for the last few episodes with Aerial being the villain.

It seems the anime adaptation of the manga Delicious in Dungeon/Dungeon Meshi, made by Studio Trigger (Kill La Kill, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners) got it's first teaser trailer.

The story is set in a world where magical dungeons filled with riches, artifacts, dark knowledge and of course monsters can appear out of nowhere making "dungeon exploring" a common profession.

After losing his sister to a red dragon in a failed adventure on the lower levels, the human explorer Laios convinces the remaining two members of his group, the elf Marcile and halfling Chilchuck to head back into the dungeon to recover her remains for revival despite being now short on gear, money and most importantly provisions.

Recognizing that the dungeon is essentialy a magical eco system, Laios' plan involves living of the flora and fauna which exist within it. Despite his companions initial doubts (or refusal in Marcille's case), the trio is soon joined by the dwarven veteran explorer Senshi who has infact done so for years and is capable of finding various ways to turn monsters into suprisingly delicious meals.

Watched it with the dub recently on Max. Kind of funny that the villain is voiced by Mark Hammil, and this time he's the one who wants control of a giant floating object with a highly destructive laser weapon.

Lots of mecha action today in WFM, with Guel vs. Shaddiq and the Academy colony thrown into chaos once again while Suletta and Earth take more of a backseat.

Today's Gundam WFM confirms Suletta's origins, also giving us a demonstration of the Quiet Zero superweapon (Like STAR WARS Gundam has it's share of Superweapons-The Solar System/Colony Lasers, GP02, Angel Halo, Barge and of course orbital drops like the Colonies, Axis etc) and a sneak peak at the Gundam Calibarn (Another TEMPEST reference) which has a head very similar to the ZZ.

Does the GP02 really count as super weapon, considering it was nothing more than a heavily protected Gundam grade mobile suit designed to launch a regular nuclear warhead. Something even Zaku I's could allready do at the beginning of the One Year War, until the massive casulties on both sides and destruction of colonies convinced both sides to sign the antarctica treaty banning their usage in war.

Wouldn't the Gundam X and it's satelite system be a better example?

Yeah, probably right-kind of forgot about the pre-Antarctic treaty stuff. Even after that in 0080 a nuke was also a threat towards the end.

Kind of wonder if the final battle is Calibarn vs. Aerial if this is the first time the "hero" Gundam of the earlier episodes becomes the "villain" Gundam at the end. Seed Destiny maybe?

Although it isn't exactly the same Ribbons and the 0 Gundam from 00 were pretty much an evil Amuro Ray and RX-78-2. Same voice actor and the design of the O itself.
