Its Dark Phoenix not some Hot Topic clothing. How are you supposed to be impressed and terrified of Jean Grey when she looked like that?

For Jean, since this is not darth vader, It will be down to how talented the actress is. How much range she has. Her ''costume'' should not matter unlike Darth Vader

Famke Janssen made a good dark phoenix, her acting was good. its the script that failed her not the costume.

Or Wanda dressed like her, Movie was in 2006.

Or Wanda dressed like Jean. Her look was very reminiscent of Wanda's look from X-men Evolution which debuted in 2000

Where you impressed and terrified of Jean in her trench coat? I think an adaptation of the DP look would have worked. It would have stressed that she was different and not normal compared to everyone else around her. It would have been relatively over the top for that universe which would have worked for how far gone she had become



There's any number of good cosplays out there which envision it. Heck this one even utilizes the black that Fox seemed to love

Famke Janssen was great as Jean Grey. The 'Dark Phoenix' character she was made to play in X3 was awful, IMO, and not remotely similar to the comic character, and no actress could have saved it. Also I hated its fugly visual design.
But if you liked it, good for you. Different brains, different strokes.
