The majority won't agree, but I don't care! The Matsuda version will always be my choice for Havok's modern-day attire!
Favorite modern Havok looks (Goblin Prince aside)
Mutant X has a nice streamlined look to it but might be TOO simple.
I think this was the Austen era costume that hits the sweet spot of homaging enough of the original and adding modern "details"...and is the only thing good to come from that tenure.

Enjoyed the article.
I thought Remender developed the character pretty damn well prior to Axis. Every character gets put through the paces, and Remender did that with Alex. You could argue the inversion in Axis was one more pace for him to be put through, but the problem was that it stuck with the writers(I think it was mainly Bunn, though)who followed Remender, with the possible exception of Soule in IvX.
I have to admit that Wells has surprised the hell out of me. Hellions is the first book I've picked up in years, and he hasn't disappointed.

I think Jeff Matsuda would LOVE that description of his design.
Havok's 2nd UNCANNY AVENGERS look by Daniel Acuna is up there on my favorites as well. I just wish more artists remembered that the rings on his chest are meant to show the level his cosmic energy absorption/release instead of being stagnant circles. Thats is one area that the Matsuda design excels in conveying,,,
