Pretty much every character who was on an x-team, a major mutant villain brought back or has been in a story recently will be there.
The more interesting thing to do see would be who is absent and perhaps using the distraction for some major plotting or sabotaging.

I know it's the point of it, but not feeling some of the more outrageous designs. Except Mystique (and Storm's who we've seen for months), Mystique's outfit is awe-gasp-worthy. Also disappointed in Selene's outfit even though it's not outrageous. I think because it's not. She literally could wipe the floor and steps on the souls of 90% of the people there, she should dress like HBIC.

This is the first time I see Selene in so many clothes but it suits her.

I expected Sunspot to use something more elaborate but this compliments his powers.

Kinda dissapointed in Erik I expected him to wear something different or more provocative, he makes me remember tuxedo mask but the white and gold color of suit him

Khora looks like she´s here agaist her will XD can´t blame her I don´t see arrako mutants having many events like this.

Magik looks great as always.

I think they went with white for Magneto because his normal color scheme would make him look like Willy Wonka. Then again, it would make him perfect for a tour.

After seeing more of these looks, is it a coincidence that many designs take elements of Mr. Sinister's costume? I feel like Colossus, Warpath, and Loa fall into this camp. Or maybe I just associate interlocking black straps as quintessential Nathaniel Essex

I read Hellions too. And no...I see no potential issue with Mastermind attending the Gala.
1: He was blackmailed into doing what he's doing to Sinister and the Hellions, by Arcade.
2: The other Ladies and Lords Hellfire are also in attendance.

With that outfit yes, definitely, he would look like Willy Wonka . I was expecting something more along the lines of what Coipel and Jim Lee had him wear
