Watched a great documentary about this run last night on Prime, it featured Chris Claremont, Anne Nocenti and Louise "Wheezy" Simonson. Not entirely sure I recall this particular story all that fondly but what an amazing time in the X-Men this was:

This is one I thought of first but I knew it wasn't a cover. This would make a great ending for a MCU movie when they decide to introduce Doom .... From the conclusion of the Nick Fury vs Yellow Claw arc Steranko's Nick Fury: Agent of SHIELD series (from Strange Tales #167). The appearance of Doom in the very last page came out of left field.
