I liked the concept of Kid Cable, he should be a teenager as he was supposed to be as the son of Scott (a son can't be older than his father, can he?). Don't know why people don't like this concept.

The only thing is that Kid Cable needs to toughen up and be as tough as his half-sister Rachel.

    Breakout Stars of 2020
    Which characters made the jump to the forefront of the X-Men comics this year? Skirting the edge of, had exciting focus, or developments? We saw a villain become a hilarious Mutant team leader. We saw another longtime villain rise to become a savior and a minor character become a team leader. These characters are the breakout Stars of 2020;

    Number 1: MISTER SINISTER
    With 31 points
    6 X voted as #1

Not a big surprise he was voted into this top 3. His star did rise in an impressive way in 2020. Essex got his debut and since then he only really shined during Inferno. Yes he came back every now and then, but never broke out as he did back then and in the recent moths. Part of the Quiet Council he is now also a high ranking member of the Krakoan Government (can you call it that?). So, Nathan shines bright like a diamond (get it?) on his well deserved number one position.

    Number 2: APOCALYPSE
    With 23 points
    5 X voted as #1

En Dabah Nur has done it again, he managed to play yet again an important role in X-Men history, but not as a villain this time, no, he became the savior of the current mutant nation. We learned so much of his past last year. We met his former wife and children and we saw him doing his very best to be the best he could be and he managed to do so. Really wonder what the next steps for him will be....

    Number 3: KWANNON
    With 19 points
    3 X voted as #1

I will continue to call her Kwannon. Must admit I dislike how they turned her looks and name into Psylocke the 2nd, as she is not like Betsy at all. Kwannon is het own self, that she has proven over the year for sure. From D-list villain, to dead for years, reintroduced last year and now one of the team leaders of Krakoa, not bad, not bad at all. Let's hope she finally finds her daughter, own codename and wardrobe this year. :-)

Debut Character of the Year Award
Every new writer introduces new characters. Sometimes because it really fits the story, sometimes because they want to make their mark on the franchise and sometimes they better did not introduce their new characters at all cough-Major X-cough. This year we were introduced to a vey large amount of new comers, thanks to Arokko. Last years number one Rasputin did not return this year, let's hope that does not happen to this years favorites, which are all Sword bearers of Arokko!

    Number 1: THE WHITE SWORD
    With 44 points
    7 X voted as #1

Not a huge surprise as he was the only new villain voted in the top 3 of Favorite Villains. The White Sword is a man of honor, as shown when he used his powers to save Cypher after War poisoned him. He is a real general with morals. He also seems to hold no sympathy for the First Horsemen or any other Sword Bearers and no one can tell him what to do. If you want him to join your case, you have to beg and even than, if he sees no honor in the battle, he will no longer be part of it. When we saw the 10 fighter in previews, no one ever thought he would become the most popular one. Curious how they will handle him further, after the last event.

    Number 2: ISCA, the Unbeaten
    With 27 points
    2 X voted as #1

Also not a big shocker, as Isca was already popular before anyone did read XoS. Her looks sold some already. The sister of Genesis has the power to constantly win at whatever comes her way, somehow her powers take control of her, forcing her to do what is need to succeed. Even if it is for silly games. Isca's is a warrior by nature and believes in survival-of-the-fittest ideals. So far, she does not seem to have a soft spot. We already saw her back recently, like a spokesperson for Arokko, so we might see more of her in days to come.

    Number 3: BEI, the Bloodmoon
    With 25 points
    4 X voted as #1

At first some thought Bei to be a guy, turned out she is a woman, not a very feminine one though. She is a special mutant to say the least. While her mutant power is described as "the Doom Note". The meaning of this is not been made clear. So, we might be in for a few surprises. She lives for fighting, that is clear. She communicates in a strange way, for all to understand except the one who is specialised in language; Cypher. Strangest thing, instead of fighting they fell instantly in love and married. After their adventure in Otherworld, Bei had chosen to join her husband on Krakoa and did not return to Arokko.

    Comeback of the Year
We saw many heroes and villains make a comeback this year. They were amongst the dead, or were in limbo for years and they came back in a big way. We saw multiple New X-Men kids like Prodigy and Wallflower return from another title or limbo and also saw some characters being brought back to life by The Five, like Shinobi Shaw and Synch. Last year Moira won.

    Number 1: NANNY
    With 40 points
    8 X voted as #1

Must admit, I never liked her and Orphan Maker in the past, but now they really changed my point of view. Though I am glad the reborn version has dropped the weird lips, which I am glad about. The is not that great in fights so far, but the walking talking egg does pleasure us in another way, she has an awesome sense of humor and makes us laugh every issue of the Hellions. As a result of dying in the dimension of Amenth she came back with stronger abilities and a drastically different personality. I really do hope she continues to be funny though.

    Number 2: Goblin Queen
    With 27 points
    6 X voted as #1

Maddy always has a big group of fans on the forum and all loved her return. Once more the sexy evil diva returned to cause hell for one of the Summer brothers. Her actual target was Sinister actually, but my goodness did she have fun toying around with Alex once more. Sadly the Goblin Queen has passed away and will not be allowed a resurrection. But... remember we have that other (way lamer) version of Secret Wars still around somewhere.

    Number 3: Greycrow
    With 26 points
    3 X voted as #1

Greygrow used to be one of the most famous Marauders. The villain formerly known as Scalphunter has returned and lives on Krakoa nowadays and as far as we know he is the only former Marauder who is there. As he was always a lesser used character before,. he now returned and is one of the stars of the Hellions.

Runner up this year was Synch

    lol wow congrats to Nanny.

I don't how to feel about Greycrow, I still kinda dislike him for the Mutant Massacre but if Apocalypse/Selene/Shadow King gets to be on Krakoa...

Favorite Mutant on the Cast of a non-X-book
    Usually there are more participants in this category, but the Avengers no longer have mutants amoung their crew(s) and also former Alpha Flight members did not appear anymore on the Captain Marvel series. So there were only a few, but enough to make this great top 3;

Number 1: MOLLY HAYES, AKA BRUISER
    With 21 points
    4 X voted as #1

As you can see by the amount of points, this category was skipped to vote for by many. Bruiser, the mutant star of Runaways, has been in this top 3 a few times over the years. Last year the number 2 spot, she switched places with the current number 2. Wolverine and Pixie are trying to convince Molly to come to Krakoa and in April it will be clear. Shall she become part of the X-franchise? I would be shocked if she would.

    Number 2: DUST
    With 20 points
    2 X voted as #1

Last year Dust was the winner in this categorie as member of The Champions. This year she dropped to number 2, which is no surprise as Sooraya Qadir barely is featured in the series lately and is currently back on Krakoa, so in fact, she might have left the Champions cast by now. I do not read it, so please confirm if you know.

    Number 3: ROGUE II
    With 18 points
    2 X voted as #1

I would have liked it more if they gave the alternative daughter of Rogue a different code-name. But Irene LeBeau, aka Rogue II, made her debut in the recent issues of Captain Marvel and made the impression. Named after one of Rogue moms: Irene 'Destiny' Adler. In this alternative future, Irene was born and spend her entire life in an underground facility located under New York City. Unfortunately she apeared only in the Captain Marvel The End one-shot, so lets hope she reap[pears in the main series. Runner-up is from that same future, the Wolf/ Sora, who is the child of Forge and Kwannon.Currently still in the series, so she might return in the top 3 next year.

    Guest Star of the Year
The X-Men do have friends and enemies in the MU outside of the X-books, who will turn up to help in a fight or fight against them, date them, drink with them or (as often happened) come by to criticize them. This year the X-Men did not have a lot of guest appearances, as they were mostly in their own corner in 2020. The ones that stood out most were:

    Number 1: Scarlet Witch (Empyre: X-Men #1)
    With 43 points
    9 X voted as #1

I am shocked and disappointed you treacherous voters. How dare you vote for the woman who should not be named? First M-Day and now tuned Genosha into zombie country and you liked her in that role? You are bad bad people. :-P

    Number 2: YELLOWJACKET
    With 30 points
    6 X voted as #1

The current Yellowjacket, Darren Cross played an unexpected in Marauders. He entered the body of Pyro to spy on the Marauders. He was quickly discovered though. He does have a sense of humor I liked, so I for one, hope one day her reappears.

    Number 3: DOCTOR STRANGE
    With 20 points
    2 X voted as #1

Stephen Strange was voted before as Guest Star of the year in 2018 and now returned for a short cameo in Empyre: X-Men. Not a big role, but worth to get voted for.

The hilarity of Wanda's stupidity and ineptitude is strong enough to overcome hate. Let that be a lesson about the power of laughter.

    Death of the Year
Unfortunately every year brings us farewell as well. This year I think we saw many X-Men die, but the good news is, now thay can be resurrected. That does take away the shock value though. We saw Quintin Quire so many times killed in X-Forde and resurrected, it almost became a gimmick of the character. Though this year also proved that when killed in Otherworld is really means the end of you, for always.

    Number 1: ROCKSLIDE
    With 66 points
    13 X voted as #1

Sad that you were never voted into a top 3 ever and only your death does. By far the number 1. Santo is really gone, killed by traitor Summoner, Rockslide was killed in Otherworld. They did try to bring him back, but we got a new version instead. Our Santo is gone, forever gone. One minute of silence please.

    Number 2: GORGON
    With 47 points
    2 X voted as #1

As one of the four War Captains, Gordon did not appear much on Krakoa before X of Swords. Gorgon was able to kill 13 of the 100 Champions, before he was killed by White Sword. This is how a mutant dies. Gorgon was later resurrected thanks to Krakoa's Resurrection Protocols, but according to Elixir, he is acting strangely, to be continued....

    Number 3: RED QUEEN
    With 26 points
    2 X voted as #1

Murderer by Sebastian Shaw, without anyone knowing. And even though he tried to kill Lockheed as well, he survived, was saved by a family and returned to inform Emma what happened. It took some effort to get Kate back, but the Red Queen got her revenge and so did Lockheed.

    Most Missed Character of 2020
There is some good news, as 22 out of the top 3 most missed characters of last year, did make their return this year: Madelyne and Winddancer both returned. The other one, Indra, only appeared on one panel and is one of the most missed this year as well. But for two out of 3 our wishes were heard! So there is hope for those who were missed most this year. Also, as the previous years, the heroes score well, but barely anyone misses villains, except for the few points Zaladne received.

    Number 1: SUNFIRE
    With 32 points
    6 X voted as #1

Well, did you read my comments above? Sunfire, the number 1 has already returned in 2021. Now serving as the temporary sun of Krakoa. Let us hope he continues to play a role this year.

    Number 2: LILANDRA
    With 16 points
    3 X voted as #1

Each year of voting in this category, she came close to the top 3 and now finally made it in. Lilandra, former Majestix of the Shi'ar empire and long love of Charles Xavier died during War of Kings, that is about a decade ago. Time for her to return. Who knows, the current X-Men arc in space might just do that.

    Number 3: INDRA and TRANCE
    Both with 14 points
and each getting two #1 votes.

Indra has been voted into this top 3 for a few years now and still the CX-office did not wake up regarding him, or Trance. Both received some great character developments by Mike Carey and where left in limbo by the other writers. They have so much potential. Let us hope and pray they return to the foreground one day. (hey, that rhymes!)

    Sunfire. <3

I'd love to see him on a team someday. Maybe Jean and Scott's new one? (though considering it's by vote and he's never really been a known player in the mutant community, probably unlikely...)

I would love to see him interact with Rogue again

Their chemistry is one of the few things I liked about Remender's run

It says a lot when the top three Comebacks and two out of three for Breakout Stars...are all from one book.
Can we do a check to see how many characters are polled from each book?

Most Bizarre Moment of the Year (the Rouge Mort Trophy)
There are those moments from 2020 that left you as a reader, shaking your head, and reading it something again, and again, to believe it actually happened. Sometimes it caused a popping sound to occur in your cerebral cortex, they were so weird, you just cannot believe it. This year I myself was checking again and again how on earth it was possible for Cece Reyes to be killed with a knife, while her forcefield should have stopped the attack, what the heck...? Well, there was more and these 3 moments were the most bizarre of all.

Number 1: Marriage Cypher and Bei the Bloodmoon
    With 34 points
    4 X voted as #1

Yeah, they were suppose to fight, then found out they could mot understand each other, so they fell in love and got married instead of fighting. Where is the logic in that?

Number 2: Scarlet Witch tuning deceased mutants of Genosha into zombies
    With 28 points
    3 X voted as #1

Will this woman never learn and why the .... is she never been trailed of punished for her deeds, while villains who did less, had to go to prison for years? This woman should get what she deserves. Ans zombies, really, .... REALLY?

Number 3: Bizarre contests of X of Swords
    With 23 points
    $ X voted as #1

We were disappointed many of the fight had not a thing to do with the collecting of the swords we had seen voor issues long. That was lame, but a dancing contest, an eating battle and killing a kitten? That was way to bizarre.
