Default New Batman Series Co-Starring Scooby-Doo

    Article here.

I'm not the target for this but, man, do I l love the way Dario Brizuela draws Batman, as a perfect mix of Bronze age Adams/Aparo Batman Batman and Animated series Dini Batman.

    Oh, I agree.

But I noticed it says "writers Ivan Cohen and Sholly Fisch", and from the description in the article it sounds like each will be writing separate stories. So while I would definitely trust Sholly Fisch, it remains to seen how Ivan Cohen's writing works for this.

    I am thrilled.

I wish they would use the character designs from Scoob!

Sholly being onboard is good news.

Nice to see the World's Greatest Detectives let Batman help out on one of their cases.

    I respectfully disagree.

Classic Scooby is a character of the 70s (or late 60s). The 70s design is beloved 80s, 90s and 00s generations. The 70s version is the one that most fameously interacted with Batman.

Therefore, using a classic bronze age Batman (Adams/Aparo influenced) is the right way to go.

But if he's only writing some of the stories, will that mean this is going to be a case where it's only worth buying the issues he's writing?

Makes perfect sense to me. They're are both detectives, but the real question is....

will the monsters be men in costumes....or will they be real live ghouls.

Bat-villains in costumes. Wonder if Joker and Penguin will be the first to dress up as creeps again...

    Color me intrigued!

After BTAS, one of my earliest exposures to Batman was the old 70's team-ups between Scooby Doo and Batman and Robin in The New Scooby Doo Movies.

Also...time-travel to the Year One era? Purple gloves? Looks like an exciting story steeped in Batman lore!

I kinda wish we could see this take on the Batsuit in other books...
