The MCU didn't do anything. They didn't have a choice in the matter.
It's not like Wanda's introduction and presentation was something they made with all options on table. No they went with what the cards they were dealt with at the time.
Now Feige in WV is obviously reshuffling the cards and drawing a new game, this time cutting a new pack of cards. He retconned Wanda's origin to show they were magical all along.
Wanda's parents in the show have entirely different names and backgrounds than the Non-Magneto and Magda parents in the 616 Continuity. Rather than have her be the daughter of Golden Age Marvel supers, or Django and Marya Maximoff, the MCU had the parents be Oleg and Irina and had them played by rando extras (who to be honest don't really look like Wanda and Pietro if you compare them).
So it would be easy to say that Wanda and Pietro were adopted and their real biological parents were...dun dun dun...Mag-f--king-Neto and Magda.
They already decided what they wanted, they could wait to introduce Wanda. It's already DONE
Movies aren't like comics, it is clar they are their birth parents and they aren't mutants. No need to get convoluted like comics.
i really like that MCU is very straightforward
In the grand scheme of things Wanda's presence or lack there of in HoM is insignificant it's still her most popular showing & infamous amongst both casuals and fans for one reason or another it always will be, people will always relate her back to this story for 1 reason or another, I don't make the rules it just is what it is.
The particulars do matter because there isn't much story content there for her. Which is why they used so little of it for reference in her show. It's mainly about how mutants become depowered. And if it weren't for it being a story about them, it would be about as known as Darker than Scarlet in Avengers West Coast. It's not that known because of Wanda.

The X-Continuity explained that Magneto had been de-aged several times. This was covered a long time ago.
They retconned their entire universe so that Captain Marvel was around the whole time, the whole time, made it so that Avengers 1 wasn't Fury's first contact with aliens, made it so that Iron Man wasn't in fact the first superhero in the MCU modern era. It's just too hard for me to understand how they can square that circle.
The MCU don't let circles bother them.
They can simply resurrect Aaron Taylor Johnson's Pietro, and Magneto would be the one to do it. Heck you can even use Krakoa Resurrection and sell that by bringing Pietro back out of Arbor Magna.Secondly, Pietro was a HUGE part of the dynamic between the Maximoff twins and Magneto.
Lol, no she doesn't. The Avengers have never hit 1200 issues to start with, and she was absent and a no-show for several stretches of that.
The show has said that Wanda has a big mystery tied to her. That she has magic powers she doesn't know about and she had it since birth. Her parents are rando nobodies she's lost. So when they do the Magneto reveal, it'd be way less confusing than in the comics. And let's get one thing clear...the comics weren't confusing. It was made so for corpo reasons.
I didn't say she was in 1200 Avengers issues. Just comics issues, period. Not all of them were Avengers in total.
The mystery is the power of chaos magic itself. They described it later as divine. She got a blessing and a magical transformation. She'll now go and learn more about that chaos magic and how to control it.
