Batman and the mind wipes

I'm very influenced by Grant Morrison when it comes to define the ethical limits of Batman. I was thinking about the Identity Crisis story and realized that I don't agree with Batman opposing the mind wipe and personality change of Doctor Light.

Do you guys think it makes sense for Batman to oppose it?

It would make sense for any hero to oppose it.

I mean I oppose the whole story line, but yeah. It make sense to oppose it because, as he said, where's the limit

As a standalone work I like Identity Crisis enough but in universe and in continuity it makes a lot of characters look bad, Zatanna especially. Also the Catwoman thing is another can of worms...
