I remember when he said that he aspired to one day be a greater inconvenience to Batman than the Joker or the Penguin.

It's good that he set his sights high.

I support him. Let's bring back more classic rogues who are just fun weirdos.

Not sure how he could be integrated into modern Batman without being a complete joke, though. Could lean on his chivalrous tendencies and make him somewhat of a quirky anti-hero? Or he could be Gotham's replacement eccentric billionaire figure since Bruce Wayne has now been knocked out of that spot.

The best way I think is hes just a character from one of Basil Karlo's (Clayface) movies and uses the identity to trick someone.

A 2nd idea, hes a member of the League of Assassins whos from the 17th Century and also has been using the Lazarus Pit and because of that he stills believes hes in the 17 Century.

Too bad we never saw something like this in the comics back in the early 80's.

He actually reappeared during the Batman: Reborn stories acting as a bodyguard to Leslie Tomkins after she patched him up at her clinic which was a cool way to reintroduce him

Thinking about it given his surname they could retcon him to being related to Tim (perhaps an uncle but due to a falling out with Jack he wasnt allowed to adopt Tim after his parents death)

I've always found Cavalier to be an underrated and underappreciated member of Batman's Rogues. He could easily be re-imagined as a bodyguard/ hit-man to Gotham Crime Bosses.

Cavalier last good appearance was probably in BATMAN/CATWOMAN: Follow The Money by Howard Chaykin.

Cavalier's first new appearance after the 1940s was actually in WONDER WOMAN 212 (June-July 1974)--the beginning of Diana's Twelve Labours. He was a male chauvinist, so it was perfect casting as a foil for the Amazing Amazon.

He appears in the Sonar centric issues of JLI, as one of the regulars at a villain bar, and he's really fun in those issues.
