I was going to come in to comment "Sin City". Yes, there are splashes of colours, but that is a creative choice in a black and white comic.
Walking Dead is a great example of a black and white comic that just skyrocketed in popularity.
My personal favourite is Empowered.

Yeah. There are some aspects of it that, well, lets' say it's very much at least PG-13 if not higher. But I do enjoy the humor and the characters and the writing as well as the art work. Originally Posted by GOLGO 13
