If we were to get a bigger budget live action team up or in a crossover in the comics, this aspect of Xena's Gods wouldn't be an issue.
Xena would have to cross time and dimensions to get from her world to the DC Universe, so let's imagine that the gods of her world are the same as the gods here, and while she was an excellent fighter in her World, she has comparable powers to Wonder Woman for being a demigod, so she has two things to get used to, her powers and this modern world. So Xena has super strength and lightning reflexes for starters, she literally doesn't know her own strength and will tend to break things. She also has a love/hate relationship with Ares, she is kind of a rebellious daughter, and Ares for his part is often proud of her but often finds himself on opposite sides with her daughter who despite his best efforts has developed a set of morals and compassion. Lets assume Ares didn't die when Wonder Woman defeated him in World War I. As per the Wonder Woman movie. Xena got disentimed and by accident was brought to the modern DC universe from her home setting. Xena tends to break things by accident because she is not used to her powers, she can flip a truck and jump to incredible heights, and she has brought Gabrielle with her.
