Avengers #50....Will It Be An Event Issue?

When Avengers hits #50 this year (probably in October), I’m hoping it’s a true special event issue, versus just a continuation of whatever story is going on, albeit maybe a double sized issue, with 26 variant covers.

Personally, I would like to see a complete roster change as of the end of the issue and in to #51....this line-up has gotten real stale for me!

Probably is, I don't think they will do another Avengers event after the massive Heroes reborn.

I don’t need a MAJOR “event”....just something special, vs. the end of whatever story arc may run thru 46-50!

It's a given that it'll be extra-sized (with a ridiculous amount of variants); the question is if it'll be the culmination of a multi-issue arc, or the kick off to a new one.

Nothing would be more special for me than the announcement of a new creative team... :-/

I would LOVE to see a new creative team (preferably Jim Zub writing!), but I think Aaron is determined to beat both Hickman’s and Bendis’ runs, which means he would be around for at least another 18 months.

He'd need longer than that, Bendis's run was eight years. 2004-2012.

Though I see no reason why there can't be more Avengers books - the only other current one is Savage Avengers, which doesn't really count as it's just Conan teaming up with other heroes and not an official Avengers team.

Wildly enough, thanks to so many relaunches, this is actually only the third time the title Avengers has reached #50.

IIRC, New Avengers and West Coast Avengers also each hit 50 once.

I hope Aaron stays on Avengers, far away from anything I'm reading. He's a hot mess of stale and bad ideas that don't make sense and go no where.
