Yeah the press release mentions that the original Falcon (presumably Sam Wilson) was Nighthawk's partner and died and Miles takes up the mantle.

So the Team Squadron are just the Teen Titans analog? A shame they didn't go with The NEW Teen Titans version, with Changeling, Raven, Cyborg and Starfire analogues.

Miles has barely interacted with Sam Wilson and somehow he ends up becoming The Falcon instead of Sam's actual protege's. Interesting that he's still a hero, unlike Peter. Is Sam dead?

Yes, originally it was the Whizzer, but in more recent years there was a version of the Squadron Supreme that made Blur the Flash analogue.

I suppose they could always introduce a new Whizzer, if they wanted, just like they did with Hyperion. As far as I know, though, Speed Demon was one of the Whizzers, while Nuklo's dad was the 616 Whizzer (he's dead iirc).

IIRC...

616 had WW2 speedster Whizzer
Squadron Sinister has Whizzer...who became Speed Demon.
OG Squadron Supreme had Whizzer
Battleworld Survivors Squadron Supreme had Blur (team was made up of survivors from various destroyed worlds)
Mephisto Squadron Supreme has Blur
