As a long time Alpha Flight fan I HATED that Omega Flight series so much. I hated that it only had one actual members of Alpha Flight in Talisman and I hated what they did to Beta Ray Bill too. The worst was that they took that garbage character the Collective that hack Bendis used to kill the real Alpha Flight and then had the stone to put him the Guardian suit. As much as I like the writer and artist this book just pissed me of on every level.

To me this was the much better book, and it should have been an ongoing.

Agreed. Both volumes had a good run. Definitely would love to see the return of...

LOL! I thought it lasted longer than 12-issues? Nevertheless, Peter David's OG run from the '90s is an all-time great (IMHO):

Me too. Whenever there was a different artist, it just didn't feel the same. Medina was simply irreplaceable (IMHO):

The "Fear Itself" ALPHA FLIGHT mini was outstanding if for nothing else than giving us this version of Marrina...

I loved the Original Alpha Flight. I absolutely HATED that Bendis killed them off-panel, to up the treat level of a lame character (just one of the many reasons I hate Bendis' run on the Avengers). However, I thought this book had potential, even if it was just to have a new Alpha Flight comming out of it (especially after Walker left to join Pym's Mighty Avengers), with the survivors of the group and a couple new additions, sticking it to Osborn. However, it didn't go beyond this mini-series and a Weapon Omega mini that wasn't as good, despite the beautiful DiVito art.

Now this was a great Alpha Flight book. It really should have gone on to become an ongoing.

    Peace
