I think that Beast blew their efforts off as a trial, and walked out on the entire group. Been a while since I read it, though.
I heard about the story, but never read it.

I think it would have been best if his oldest, closest friends just had a dialogue with him.

It's really sad how low Hank has sunk.

It really is Hank's definitive look. Assuming Beast makes the big screen for MCU's X-Men reboot, I will be thoroughly disappointed if they don't use Jim Lee's design as the basis for the character's appearance.

    Movie Beast.jpg

Which First Class movie Beast was your fav?

I think the last one was my preferred look.

Still none of them are Grammer doing mature Beast...

Guess I am in the minority....

Pretty near impossible to find decent non-furry Hank pictures.

Can I introduce you to the work of Nathan M Rosario, one of the best fan artists for non furry Beast: https://www.deviantart.com/nmrosario/gallery

I do love his renderings of Hank before his furry transformation.

That second one is rather gorgeous artistically. Who is it?

Like others I do love Jim Lee though but I also like John Byrne too. Perez is also good.

    Byrne.

Unbelievable. How could you not recognize the artistic wizardry of Rob Liefeld

Yep...Liefeld. It is from a Marvel Comics Presents story that had Beast saving an old high school friend who Xavier mind wiped...as he was wont to do 'for her own good'.

That's amazing, I usually defend Liefeld but this is even greater. I always thought his earliest artwork was nothing you could even pick at. Rather good art of the whole team too. :-)

This. Morrison was definitely the beginning of the end for Hank.

Unfortunately no subsequent writers seem to have any interest in course correcting, they just seem to keep doubling down on the "dark Beast" characterization...

Hank McCoy is the only character I can think of that had 4 versions of himself in the 616 timeline for any extended period:

    Hank McCoy - native 616
    Dark Beast - AOA native
Teen Beast - time shifted version
Horned Beast - Alt future nutty version
