Is this a Monkey's Paw thing? Did DC say, "Okay, you'll get the clay origin, but only in scenes of Diana getting her ass handed to her. Happy now?!
That is the part that was frustrating. Editors kept permitting this. That is not how divine gifts work. You can't "turn her into clay" because she hasn't BEEN clay for whatever untold milennia it was that she was created on Themyscira. You would need to be the Supreme divinity in order to move time backward around her until she was again a babe moments after being brought to life and THEN you could turn the baby back to clay. Unless you literally wield the ultimate power in Creation it isn't something you can do. And even with that it is a great undertaking.

Multiple runs pre The Stupid indicated that time flows different on Paradise Island to the mortal plane. During that era we learned that other higher and those of all the Old Gods have that feature. New Gods planets are in the physical plane and experience the passage of time like everyone else. There isnot a conversion factor for them. However there is for Themyscira, Asgard, and Valhalla expressly.

    Or was.

Definitions are few and far between since The Stupid

We know for sure that in Pre Crisis she isn't more than 2 or 3 decades old

More or less true as far as I can tell. The time conversions specifically came from volume 2

Her silver age origins. Started off with "centuries ago" and Diana was a baby in a crib.

LOL that’s such a lazy criticism of Harley these days when they have definitely moved into a more hero, hero roll see her recent Tadk Force XX run.

You mean the Robert Kanigher run? The most despised era of WW comics, and the origin every other writer proceeded to ignore

So the sexist does it again.

dark knights of steel. ''give an amazon a magic sword, and every problem looks like something that should be stabbed'' So bloodthirsty men hating amazons. It's the vision this guy has. Too bad that the Queen didn't do that to Superman with her bare hands. That would have given this trashy comic some points. And WW got easily killed again. This time it was a dream. But giving his trackrecord. You can expect her to fall as usual.

Tom Taylor had to write another trash WW scene to get the taste of the one mid-tier scene he did in DCeaced.

Also, what issue is this? I though DKS was done for now?

I don't know about that. I would have to research anew to be sure but isn't Kannigher's the one that gave us blonde Hippolyte and made the Amazons all significantly less superhuman? I think he is also the one that only grudgingly acknowledged the vastness and variety of her powers as Marson did but he added a punitive component that she was less human (Geoff Johns would no doubt approve).

His run was very long and had some positives as well as the negatives. I think. I could be misremembering.

I think it's more a case of him not knowing how to write her. I think a lot of times he just doesn't have a good grasp on her character. **********

    So? Still was in continuity.

Kanigher is a mix bag. He actively contradicted himself and didn't give too much thought in what the fans wanted to read. In one comic, Diana defeated Neptune by using a giant swordfish and in another, she was outmatched by a Robot Wonder Woman from another planet. Yep... He also showed that Diana (Tot, Girl, and Woman) can run so fast that her body can move through tiny rings.
