What would you do with it?
What would you do with it?
What do you mean Revive New Teen Titans? The team members, the 80s, or adapting 19 year old Dick and co to 2020s?
Set during the height of their run? Or with where the characters are at right now?
I was a fan of the Titans Academy idea before Titans Academy was a thing.
It's the Dynamic Duo! Batman and Robin!... and Red Robin and Red Hood and Nightwing and Batwoman and Batgirl and Orphan and Spoiler and Bluebird and Lark and Gotham Girl and Talon and Batwing and Huntress and Azreal and Flamebird and Batcow?
Since when could just anybody do what we trained to do? It makes it all dumb instead of special. Like it doesn't matter anymore.
-Dick Grayson (Batman Inc.)
-They aged in real time and now they are all pushing 50, miserable and on the verge of a mid life crisis. Beast Boy reunites them since he is the only one who never grew up and is stuck as a man child.
-They meet each other in their twenties but realize that they have grown too far apart and different for it to be just like the old days. This is what I was hoping Winnick would do in his ongoing.
But seriously, the team had their time to shine and the legacy of the Wolfman/Perez era speaks for itself. Acknowledge their history, depth of their friendship but accept that they are in different places and characters and they need to be in different places to be able to grow as characters.
It would be a return to the X-Men/Titans kinds of storylines... the whole 'forget the DCU (or MarvelU), our stories are more important' feel that readers would get with the Wolfman and Claremont runs.
The Wolfman run would be in continuity, and anything useful from later runs would also be included in the continuity as long as they didn't conflict anything.
It would be called 'The Titans'.
Members would be Nightwing, Donna Troy, Starfire, Cyborg, Changeling, Raven, and Kaldur'ahm to start.
An 8th member would be added at the end of the first arc. Most likely a brand new character that would tie into 'the big bad' of the title's first year.
Eventually, if sales were good, Cyborg and Changeling would leave to form a second team that would cross over regularly, leaving room for a couple more new members on the main team.

I'd make it a reality show.

Seriously? Marvel did that TWICE, it doesn't work. The first time, New Warriors in 2005, ended with the team becoming scapegoats after a fatal defeat at Nitro's hands (he exploded, destroying a town and killing the team and hundreds of other people! The team was blamed instead of the villain), setting off the Civil War event. The second time was West Coast Avengers a couple of years ago. That book didn't last long either. After cancellation, Outlawed was used to end the team.

If there was ever a property that embodied "leave well enough alone", it's the New Teen Titans. More talented people that I have taken shots at a revival, and they've tried to capture the old magic multiple times, with diminishing returns.
A redemption arc for Terra.
Avoid killing off team members for shock value, less team dysfunction and no more traitor storylines.
