Default Is there a good site to read archived soliciations from before 2011?

Hi all, is there a good archive site for DC Comics solications before the new 52? I know CBR has old soliciations for some months, but they typically don't have the cover images and aren't formatted correctly. Was hoping someone had a archive of all of the solicitations over the years.

Comics Continuum. The site doesn't seem to have a search function, so I looked on Wayback Machine. Not only does the Wayback Machine have the old pages archived, images and all, it turns out the pages are still live too! Choose a date, and then when you're on the archived site, look for solicitations at the bottom of the page - there'll be links to at least Marvel's and DC's. You can then remove the web.archive.org part of the address (just leaving in the bit from the http:// onwards) and you'll get to the still active version of the page on the real site. Also, if you know what date the solicits were released on you can actually figure out the URL. The archive goes back as far as 2000, as this page proves (includes Marvel solicits for September 2000).

For example, here's the solicits for May 2011.

Haha, yeah, you could look at the old solicits, see something you fancy reading, then head off to DC Universe Infinite or Marvel Unlimited and go read the comics!

Oh! Okay so you have to know the exact date of the solicitation publication... no wonder... I've been clicking each date and each link and I'm not seeing any solicits.

You only NEED to know the date for the first few years - once the site switches to it's current design (which was at least 10 years ago), you can just scroll to the bottom of the homepage to find links to that month's Marvel and DC solicits. So unless Wayback Machine missed a month entirely, you can find them that way.

All this workaround wouldn't be necessary if only the site had a search facility.

It's a good practice... I mean those solicits are designed to drum up interest, right? As if my backlog wasn't extensive enough already.

The DC Comics Database worked well for me.

Are you talking about the wiki? How is that helpful old solicitations?

Oh this is amazing, thanks so much! I've been wanting to read some older DC in the late 2000's so this is extremely helpful.
