Default How do you select you next read? (TP / HC)

When you're reading TPs or HCs, how do you choose what to read next? Do you have a strategy for reading TPs / HCs? Or is it whatever you feel like at the time? What about re-read?

I pick up things either I’m interested in because I like the character, the writer, or I heard good things from trusted reviewers.

My comics arrive once a month by mail order, but I try to read everything in release order, as if I'd picked them up weekly from my LCS. I'm still technically a month behind at any given moment, but that's the price you pay for fat discounts...

I wish I had time to re-read anything; it's all I can do to try and keep up with current books!

For me it has always been the writer.

Sometimes I wanna read Morrison's DC work and then I'll start with the beginning and go all the way to the end.

I recently learned that Hickman has been influenced by Carey for his X-Men run so now I am picking up those books to read.

For me it's always following a writer as opposed to character.
