There were so many great easter eggs in that fight scene.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Charters and Caldicott , the two cricket-obsessed Englishmen from Hitchcock's The Lady Vanishes, also turn up in Night Train to Munich, Crook's Tour, Millions Like Us, and Dead of Night. Basil Radford and Naunton Wayne did very well out of playing those two characters!

Darth vader showing up in 80s family film making contact! (also has a kid with powers, ghost that talks on a toy phone, r2 d2 like robot, evil magic dummy with powers and a talking burger! Really!)

No clip of the cameo but here is a tv spot of the film.

Also jay and silent bob in scream 3 and the mad max bad guy in weird science by the same actor!

Vader also made cameos in Night In the Museum and Indiana in the Cupboard as well.

Looks like that film is clearly influenced by Poltergeist (The creepy doll, the closet etc), which, while not exactly 'cameos' is filled with Star Wars toys like E.T. At one point a posessed toy TIE fighter flies around the room making it's trademark sound. Looking it up, also seems to be the early work of Roland "Stargate, Independence Day" Emmerich...

Baron Frankenstein and Count Dracula make a cameo in the Sammy Davis, jr./Peter Lawford movie Salt And Pepper.

Making contact is a kids film but a dark one like return to oz and watcher in the woods. It deals with death alot and at one point the dummy uses magic to throw a knife at the mom then blames it on the kid! (don't worry it misses her)

It does have nice parts as well like the nice r2-d2 like robot and a goonies like adventure with kids in a haunted house. The ghost phone is right out of poltergeist but not as scary as the ghost is helping them.

Odd thing is for the american release they removed the rock 80s song at the end but put it back in for the overseas release as "joey" and the overseas release has a longer cut of the film also!

If you like dark 80s kids films you will like it but it's nowhere near as good as others. Vader shows up right out of the blue in a big surprise but they do explain why he is there. (And yes the kid has tons of 80s toys like return of the jedi, seseme street, he-man and gijoe toys! Some come to life later also!)

    Full trailer.

Clever cameos in Disney Cartoons :

    Sebastian the crab in Aladdin
Belle in a crowd scene from hunchback
Scar the lion as Hercules cloak
Mrs Potts and Chip as crockery in Tarzan
    Frozen reindeer in Moana
Mickey, goofy and Donald are apparently in the concert scene of little Mermaid but I can't find them anywhere!

Also Alien skull in Predator 2
