Voting on new X-Men team begins tomorrow

I always get Tempo and Locus confused.

If not my fave Banshee, then why not Tempo? A black woman and reformed[?] villain with interesting temporal powers. Aging wine to perfection made me smile. I already like her more than Frenzy.

I mean.. I’ll probably vote for Sunspot. Cause I want him to be around and increase the chances of Roberto and Amara hooking up somewhere.

We already know Scott and Jean will be on the team. And I don’t want to see Lorna play second fiddle to Jean, as well as being on a team with a male Summers.

It's a bunch of people who get screen-time anyway. Good grief.

Armor and Boom-Boom were getting screen time in New Mutants before the writer switch, but not so much now
Banshee has been a background character at best
Cannonball and Sunspot got screen time in New Mutants but not really since Hickman left
Forge gets screen time in X-Force
Polaris is in X-Factor
Marrow, Strong Guy, and Tempo haven't been in anything

So that's 4 characters that really have done nothing on Krakoa (Marrow, Strong Guy, Tempo, Banshee), four who were getting screen time in New Mutants but aren't anymore (Armor, Boom-Boom, Cannonball, Sunspot), and two that are regularly appearing in books (Forge and Polaris).

Sh and Jean have never really been on a team together so this would be something new. Lorna joined way too late in the original run and wasnt even used on the 2 missions the team went out on prior to cancellation, nor was she used when the X-men made appearances prior to GSXM. Even Hidden Years kept them seperate. Jean and Lorna together on a lineup is something thats been 50 years in the making

Boom Boom, Sunspot or Tempo. The only problem we don’t know who else on the team besides Scott and Jean. Like do we need multiple strong guys (no pun intended).

Maybe Tempo... get her out of having to age scotch and stuff every once in a while.

Well in a vacuum I'd go Banshee since he hasn't been used in anything for a very long time.

However looking at the voting trend on here with Tempo, Sunspot, Polaris and Marrow being the top four it'll be between Marrow or Polaris when the voting starts.

Sunspot would be an easy pick if he came packaged with Cannonball as I love them both together but not individually and I don't know anything about Tempo.

Funny to see a Tempo fanclub. We ask know she will never win the real voting though. It will be between Polaris (most likely), Cannonball and Sunspot, as these 3 are the most famous.

I don't think Tempo has a high chance, but if she gets a lot of votes at least maybe Marvel will do something with her and use her for more than just aging Sebastian Shaw's liquor.

Not only will Scott and Jean be on the team, they also cover the leader and second-in-command.


Another thing to consider is that they want this team to be a traditional superhero team in Krakoa, despite its current establishment.

Who of the current choices, exemplifies that.

I still hope that there are big plans for Sunspot (and maybe Cannonball) in the Space Chicken Empire.

So, I go for Marrow. Although, wait... Since the hunt for X-redshirts is open again, that may be a case of "be careful what you wish for"

The writer already knows the whole team except this last spot. Whoever the gets the most votes from readers on this list, becomes the final member.

In universe (within the story), Cyclops is letting the Krakoa population vote for every member of the team, except him and Jean.
