Just read the issue and it was entertaining and I definitely didn't dislike the art nearly as much as I thought I would. Couple of things I would have liked to see addressed:
    1) Why did Cyclops choose Storm for this mission? She had cool moments, but I had no idea why she was there and how this fits in with the general direction she's going after leaving the Marauders.
    2) Some more acknowledgement of Xavier's connection to Xandra. Obviously they all came to help out but I would think the X-Men would feel more emotion for the child of their mentor/ father-figure.
    3) Like others have mentioned Jean's current feelings towards the Shi'ar after what happened to her family.

I'm going to be That Guy for a second:

Other than Standard Story-Telling, was anything said on panel for why the abductors bothered kidnapping Xandra instead of killing her immediately? Or even for the delay of (overnight?) Urr deciding to kill her? They weren't broadcasting it to the public. I know it's really to set up the Last Second Save, but I like things on the page to make sense too.

The major sports leagues have concussion protocols, but not the X-men...

I see readers harping on Jean not addressing what the Shi'ar did to her family. It would neither add anything of import to the story being told if it was mentioned, nor does it take anything away by its omittance. IOW...it's entirely irrelevant, at this time. (This story, though it featured Jean, wasn't about Jean). And will probably not ever be mentioned until that specific issue is broached, if/when ever it's brought up.

Cannot believe the hate for this issue. This was awesome and fun. A one and done for sure but it felt like something I've missed from the X Men. Not everything has to be about the freaking politics of Krakoa. These guys are superheroes too. They save people.

Liked seeing older costumes, it adds more weight to Hickman design sensibilities with treating them like clothes.

Why the hate on the art? Its Brett booth who I dont always like but it worked wonders for the issue. It was kinetic, high energy, vibrant. A nice change of pace.

I really don't see the problem here. The action was cool, Storm got a really nice showing here, Jean was competent and played a strong role, and even the excert was funny. The one off villain was also pretty cool and the way he is dealt with was a good choice.

Legitimately have almost no gripes with this one. But I somehow missed the last issue or marauders so I need to catch up on that.

That definitely wasn't a make or break for me, but I think at least a nod to it could have been included. I know Hickman loves Sunspot but some of his banter could have easily been replaced with Jean acknowledging that it wasn't easy for her to be there. Stuff like that just makes the characters feel more real to me but I know it's not everybody's cup of tea.

But just a "nod" would have probably been even worse, given the enormity of the massacre. If it's so important and "needs" to be addressed, surely it deserves much more than just a "nod".

It is a huge part of Jean stories, that is simply not acknowledged. There is ways to do it without needing a lot of dialogue and page time

There wasn't a reset or reboot. Yeah her family is pretty much dead, we saw it on Phoenix Ressurrection

Dude we are totally on the same page here.

People gotta relax, these dudes used to go to space like every other day for some space shenanigans.

We don't need a reason all the time, we know that the X-Men and Shi'ar are intimately tied and if one called for help the other would come running.

I did like the old suits and it makes sense especially after Scott wanting to reform the X-Men Superhero Team. I can imagine Scott being like put on them old skivvies and dress for the part.

I was not expecting this today. I usually find this book more like a Marvel Handbook, like telling us what's happened and going to happen soon, but this was wild and entertaining, and beautiful and FUN! I enjoyed this so much I was just smiling the whole way. I know this will keep leading to the Xandra Xavier connection but on the way to that they better not forget Deathbird & Vulcan's eggbaby!!!
