THIS fan wants him (and Jean and Storm and the other characters I like) to be part of good plots. Who's driving said plots forward doesn't matter.

I'm going to say this is an excellent point and the funny thing here is when he was written as some of those things his fans were loving it. #cyclopswasright, right?

All in all, all the characters got nice showings but this time Storm was able to save the day to setup what is next for her. I dont see anything wrong her considering Jean and Cyclops are about to be coleading their own merry men of xmen.
before x-men Red Jean was dead for a really long time. I don't think She was proped on Ororo's bck, as Storm wasn't napping while on Red

I respectfully disagree. I dont want to derail this thread with that discussion but while she wasn't napping she certainly wasn't utilized to her best abilities. much as nx01a was mentioning in context to jean in this issue.

Boring issue, I know that Xandra stuff will pay off down the line, but this book feels like it should be bimonthly at the pace Hickman is going. Hope the Vault issue next will finally pick up the pace again.

There’s that one amazing panel where Jean points at the traitors (I guess Oracle couldn’t be bothered or something) and she, Oracle and Deathbird all go into power thigh poses like they’re rehearsing for a Jane Fonda workout video (hey! Wrong decade girls).

I thought this was a fun one off adventure issue, art was decent but I’m happy Asrar is taking over. I will say that Booth’s depiction of Storm is amazing, she looked like such a boss in every scene. Definitely filing this issue away as required reading when the X-Men go cosmic. Reading Bobby and Sam really made me feel like I was reading Hickman’s Avengers again, that’s not a bad thing either. Fun read today.
    You brought back Wolverine

I liked this issue, but Cyke getting hit in the head with that hammer and not having his skull smashed made me think it must have been a nerf hammer.

Yes, this definitely feels like the old X-men Unlimited ongoing. Just a bunch of different stories with very little connective tissue. It just makes for a very disengaged experience cause there is just no driving narrative or theme with this book. The art? I am still deciding how I feel about it. It indeed felt very 90s. I enjoy blatant nostalgia every now and then but some panels just felt so very edgy and extreme that I just felt a bit embarrassed.

the hammer of the bad dude was a dissapointment
It got Cyclops unconscious like the regular batton of a cop, I thought it would kill Scott
