The Atlanta Falcons have indicated they are open to trading the #4 pick, and it is not certain they will take a QB if they don't trade it. Drafting a QB is one of the scenarios they are looking at, but some think they might go for Pitts or an OL if they hang on to the pick instead.

    Come on, Falcons.

They should keep trading picks for bonafide talent, instead. If you can't evaluate draftees, go the Rams route and let other teams roll the dice.

And how has the worked out for the Rams? 47W 33L, 3 trips to the playoffs, 2 Division titles, & 1 NFC title.

And while people go, "They're in 'win now' mode, they're mortgaging their future for the present!"

Uh huh. They're still getting elite talent via trades. Until the Rams start having trades blow up in their faces, their success rate has proven much higher via this method.

Well I am on the "in it now to win" side of things but their last 5 years have proven me wrong.

The Rams have defied logic on how you're supposed to stay relevant. "Build through the draft" is what has kept the Ravens, Steelers, Patriots, and Packers relevant and in the playoffs. That's supposed to be the formula, and "trade your picks for talent to win now" is supposed to leave you screwed. It's not played out that way.

Well, sooner or later, the bill comes due, and it'll be a whopper. The Rams model isn't sustainable.

Speaking of the LA Rams , KC signed free agent center Austin Blythe to a deal. This fills a huge need as KC needed a center. With draft predictions that KC will draft a tackle....KC could logically have a solid offensive line rebuilt for Mahomes.

The LA Rams model as posted above will fail at some stage and the results we have seen is ...its failing right now. It failed in Washington over time with George Allen as coach/GM who traded draft picks like candy for veterans. Sure the team won games and would make playoffs at some point. But the bill came due as the veterans Allen got....got old.

At some stage the LA Rams will hit a crisis moment where they don't have youthful impact players due to the draft situation.

Bernard would make a good 3rd down RB in KC with Mahomes. He is considered solid in pass protection and can get out there and catch really well outta backfield.

Funny how five years changes things for people.

Five years ago Travis Rudolph was a Florida State wide receiver who made national news for eating lunch with an autistic boy. He would go on to play a few games with the New York Giants and a couple other stops.

Fast forward to today and he's been arrested on first degree murder charges.

They could get a haul worth more than whoever they draft if they trade it
