What would you do with it?
What would you do with it?
I would just continue it from the most recent series.
It was pretty good and built on the Morrison version.
It just needs a stable writer that won’t be busy making music and other stuff.

My Team would consist of.
Frances Kane/Magenta=Frances is the heroe and Magenta is the villian
Celsius
Negative Woman
Cyborg
Beast Boy
Tempest=joshua clay
Mento
The TV show was really good, it helped me appreciate the Morrison run. I am reading the original 60s run and it is fantastic. I would lean into the sci fi horror trappings of the idea. Whatever our current monster movie movie sci fi ideas are now, I would turn those monsters into heroes.
Pretty much an amalgamation of Morrison/ Way/ TV Series.
Robotman, Negative Woman, Crazy Jane, Mento,
Former members Elasti-Girl, Flex Mentallo and Danny the Street help out as allies every so often. Cbief's not in charge, but his influence is felt thoughout.
As far as villains go, the usual bad apples show up for laughs (Animal Vegatable Mineral Man, the Beard Hunter etc); but I'd love to see the Brotherhood of Evil return as Big Bads once more (the Line-up being Brain, Monsieur Mallah, Gemini, Phobia, Plasmus, Warp) and former members Garguax and General Immortus out doing their own schemes that conflict with their old teammates.
Now that Gerard Way's run has been stopped, I can't even consider who could serve as writer. But at least the members should consist of Robotman, Rita Farr, Negative Man, Crazy Jane, Dorothy Spinner, Flex Mentallo, Danny the Street, and Mento. I hope that the new writers will carry on Morrison's spirit.
I’d put Ram V or Si Spurrier on writing duties and Bliquis Evely on art. Would love to get an ongoing but I’d be ok with just a mini too. It’s freaking criminal how DC is just wasting the acclaim the DP show is getting.
I would also like to add that somehow DC managed to stumble upon a way to save Doom Patrol from the endless reboots that plagues titles like Legion and Hawkman.
And all it took was Way’s series. (However, I would give the Giffen series some credit, too).
As long as they continue to build on what they have right now, they’ll be considered ‘salvaged’ in my opinion.
