    1994 - It's decided the JSA should be mostly killed off or retired

    Was there a shakeup editorially at the time in those two years? Such a shame. Of course the JSA has survived many attempts to shuffle them off to pasture, a tribute to the characters' enduring strength

    Not so much a "shakeup editorially" as a person in power annoyed by the then current Justice Society of America series with a bunch of old guys running around and acting heroically (at least that's what I seem to remember hearing at some point in time).
